You have just bought a shiny new DSLR and want to move past Auto

Lesson 2

You should have noticed that Shutter speed and ISO have not made too much difference on the image (more on this later). Aperture, on the other hand, makes quite a difference.

Now. Change that little dial from M to Av.
Turn the little dial just behind the shutter release button. What changes (in terms of settings)?
Take a photo. Note the settings.
Turn the dial (the one near the shutter release). Take a photo of the same subject.

Look at the settings and look at the resulting photo. What has changed?

Do this 10 times and note the changes in both the settings and image.
